Teacher of Girls' PE - Independent Barnet School
We are working with a prestigious independent all-girls school in Barnet recruiting for a Teacher of PE. This is an opportunity to join a high-achieving environment where girls' sport is a flagship element of the school's identity and success.
The Role You will deliver high-quality PE lessons across the secondary age range and take a leading role in the school’s competitive fixtures programme.
Start Date: ASAP (Full-time, Permanent)
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering core PE and academic PE (GCSE and A-Level) to girls across all key stages
Coaching and managing school teams in Netball, Hockey, Lacrosse, and Athletics
Organising and overseeing inter-school fixtures and regional tournaments
Utilising the school’s fitness suite and swimming pool for specialised training sessions
Promoting a positive and empowering culture of female participation in sport

What the School Is Looking For
QTS and a degree in Sports Science or Physical Education
A specialist coaching background in Netball, Hockey, or Lacrosse is highly desirable
Ability to teach the academic/theoretical components of PE to a high standard
A proactive, professional approach to the co-curricular life of the school
