This is a high‑impact senior finance role supporting a diverse and ambitious college with an annual turnover of around £40m. As Senior Finance Business Partner, you will play a central role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision‑making, and ensuring robust financial management across academic and operational areas.
You will lead a small, capable team — including an experienced deputy and two Finance Business Partners — and act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality financial insight, challenge, and strategic support to academic and operational leaders.
- Lead and develop a team of three, ensuring strong performance and professional growth.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management reporting processes.
- Produce clear, insightful analysis using Agresso, Power BI, and Excel.
- Support long‑term financial planning and scenario modelling.
- Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting quality, and business partnering capability.
- Work closely with the Head of Academic Finance on strategic initiatives and organisational priorities. What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience in management accounting or finance business partnering, ideally in a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate financial information clearly.
- Confident working with financial systems and data tools (Agresso experience highly desirable).
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
