Lecturer in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) - Graphic Design

Salary range:£42,000 – £50,000

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time 40 hours a week.

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of graphic designers? At the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) , Graphic Design is at the heart of what we do. We are looking for a passionate Lecturer in CAD (Graphic Design) to join our team and shape the future of digital creativity.

About the Role

You’ll bring your expertise in design software and creative practice to deliver high-quality teaching across CAD and graphic design, covering:

• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Dimension)
• Web & app design (UI/UX) using Figma, Adobe XD and more
• Motion graphics and time-based arts
• 3D design (Blender, SketchUp, Cinema 4D)

Working closely with the Course Director and colleagues, you’ll help drive curriculum innovation, inspire students to produce professional portfolios, and prepare them for real-world industry opportunities.

This is a full-time, on-campus role (five days a week), with teaching scheduled across weekdays, evenings, and weekends (on a rotation basis).

What We’re Looking For

• A degree in Graphic Design (BA, ideally with MA or equivalent professional experience)
• Strong experience teaching CAD and design-related subjects in higher education
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and design technologies, with a keen eye on emerging trends (e.g., AI in design)
• A commitment to inclusive, innovative teaching practices and student success
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse student community
• A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert HE or HEA Fellowship) is desirable, but not essential.
