Content Lead

Outpost24 is hiring a Content Lead to join our growing team in Europe (London, Amsterdam, Leuven, Barcelona)!

In this role, you’ll own and drive our content strategy, managing a multi-language editorial calendar, creating long-form and hero content, and optimizing for SEO and AI search results. You’ll analyze performance data to improve content and contribute to demand generation campaigns across email, social media, and more.

Collaboration is key, you’ll work closely with product, technical, and marketing teams across locations. We’re looking for a proactive, creative writer with ideas and the drive to bring them to life. Experience in cybersecurity or B2B technology is strongly preferred.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Writing, editing, and reviewing content across the Outpost24 brand, ensuring it aligns with company messaging
• Planning and managing an on-site editorial calendar, and applying on-page SEO/AEO best practices
• Ideating and writing off-site thought leadership articles
• Researching new topics and identifying content marketing opportunities, including rapid responses to topical news stories
• Briefing freelancers and junior team members, and supporting them with constructive content reviews
• Overseeing localization and translation management
• Working with graphic/UX designers to develop compelling, immersive multimedia content
• Working with product marketing on target audiences, industry trends, and competitor messaging to support content creation
• Building close relationships with internal technical resources

What makes you our ideal candidate?

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Media, IT & Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience in content/technical writing
• Proficiency in:
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Content Management Systems (Wordpress ideally).
  • Marketing analytics and SEO Tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Keyword Planner, SEMRush or others)
• SEO knowledge : You’ll work closely with an SEO manager, so it’s important to have an understanding of SEO best practices and how to analyze content performance
• Native-level English: Additional languages are a plus (especially French, German, or Spanish), but first and foremost we need excellent English
• Attention to detail: You’re confident being the final point of review and ensuring high-quality content is going out into the world
• Problem-solving attitude: You can solve problems independently but are also comfortable reaching out for help from teammates. You thrive in a distributed team of driven people, in a relatively flat hierarchy
• Proactive mindset: You’re comfortable leading content initiatives, rather than waiting for someone to brief you or provide instructions
• Technical understanding: Ideally, you’ll have cybersecurity experience or have worked with B2B SaaS products. A passion/interest in cybersecurity is essential!
