Brand Partnerships Manager (Sales) (Hiring Immediately)
Mumsnet is the UK’s leading community for parents, with unparalleled trust and influence and a highly engaged, loyal user base. We’re purpose-driven, placing our users at the heart of everything we do and we’re committed to sustainable growth and fostering a workplace where everyone can thrive and have fun.
Mumsnet is on a mission to help make parents’ lives easier. With 8 million monthly users, we’re one of the UK’s most trusted and influential media platforms. Brands and agencies come to us because we understand families better than anyone else, and we’re looking for a brilliant Brand Partnerships Manager to help us grow those relationships even further.
The role
As Brand Partnerships Manager at Mumsnet you will join a buzzing commercial team and drive material revenue growth through high-value, strategic partnerships with brands. You will take ownership of a number of key partners and grow them from £50k to £100k to £250k+ always-on partnerships. You will develop compelling partnership proposals, and lead opportunities from first conversation through to renewal, delivering strong client outcomes and sustainable commercial growth.
This is not a pure account management role focused on delivery. It requires proactive commercial ownership and strategic thinking. You will move beyond campaign execution to reframe and redesign partnerships to unlock step-change growth.
This role reports into the Head of Brand Partnerships and is a full-time role, with 2 days in our Kentish Town offices.
What you’ll be doing
New business and pipeline growth
- Build and execute outbound strategies that convert into revenue, using audience insight and category knowledge to target the right partners.
- Own your pipeline end to end, including prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation, close, and renewal.
- Maintain accurate CRM hygiene, pipeline discipline, and forecast inputs.
- Embed AI in your workflow to improve account research, audience insight, proposal development, and pipeline management in line with company standards.
Strategic partnership growth
- Take ownership of a small number of high-value partners and drive material revenue growth, growing key partners from £50–100k to £250k+ always-on partnerships.
- Identify where existing partnerships are under-leveraged and reshape them to unlock step-change growth.
- Diagnose why a partnership is not growing and propose a clear, commercially grounded plan to unlock additional spend.
- Move beyond campaign execution to reframing and redesigning partnerships — this means solving the commercial problem, not just running the next campaign.
Proposal and pitch leadership
- Lead on strategy and creativity for pitches, translating client objectives into partnership ideas across awareness and performance.
- Collaborate with Planning, Editorial, Product and Marketing to shape compelling, differentiated proposals.
Client leadership and delivery oversight
- Operate confidently with senior client stakeholders (Marketing Director / Head of Brand level and above), leading commercial conversations with senior decision-makers, not just day-to-day contacts.
- Challenge client assumptions where needed and reallocate budget based on insight, not just respond to briefs.
- Work closely with the Planning team to ensure partnerships are set up for success and positioned for renewal.
Market and category expertise
- Stay close to parenting trends, cultural moments, competitor activity and ad market developments to inform proactive ideas and sharper proposals.
What success looks like
- Clear evidence of growing partner revenue significantly over time, not just maintaining accounts, but driving step-change growth.
- A small number of high-value, always-on partnerships delivering disproportionate revenue.
- Ability to identify and unlock new commercial opportunities within existing accounts.
- A healthy, high-quality pipeline with accurate forecasting and clear next steps.
- High-quality, insight-led proposals that win business and drive repeat partnerships.
- Strong senior client relationships evidenced by renewals, referrals, and positive stakeholder feedback.
- Clear productivity gains through effective use of tools including AI and disciplined sales processes.
