Specialist Customer Marketing – MAT Cover

The Specialist Customer Marketing role is a key enabler of the EMEA eCommerce agenda, driving hands‑on execution across the EU retail eCommerce ecosystem. Partnering closely with Customer Marketing, Key Account Management, and central eCommerce teams, this role elevates digital shelf standards, strengthens on‑site activation, and enhances eCommerce marketing performance across leading Pureplay and omnichannel retail partners.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Retailer Enablement

  • Act as a trusted eCommerce and digital shelf partner to EU Customer Marketing and Key Account Management teams, shaping retailer‑specific eCommerce priorities, activation plans, and execution standards.
  • Work directly with Pureplay and omnichannel retail partners to optimise digital shelf execution and activate eCommerce marketing campaigns, including content optimisation, on‑site merchandising, and retail media opportunities.

Digital Shelf & Content Leadership

  • Design, implement, and continually evolve digital shelf standards and product content guidelines (copy, imagery, video, enhanced content), ensuring SEO optimisation across search engines and retailer platforms.
  • Own and enhance content syndication processes and frameworks to enable scalable asset reuse for internal teams and Hasbro distributor partners.
  • Lead collaboration with internal teams and external agencies to deliver consistent, high‑quality digital shelf execution across all markets.

Activation & Performance

  • Collaborate with eCommerce channel teams across EMEA to develop and execute on‑site activation plans that drive conversion across retailer environments.
  • Define success metrics, targets, and benchmarks for commercial program execution, delivering post‑program performance analyses with clear, actionable insights.
  • Build and execute quarterly test‑and‑learn plans to evaluate new commercial programs, retailer initiatives, and activation mechanics, informing ongoing optimisation.

Commercial Planning & Budget Management

  • Manage and optimise allocated A&P budgets, contributing to business cases that unlock incremental investment based on historical performance and future opportunities.
  • Engage cross‑functional subject matter experts (Brand, Sales, Legal, Packaging, Customer Marketing) to embed best practices and uplift digital shelf capability across the organisation.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Data Management, Business, or related discipline.
  • Significant experience working with eCommerce retail partners (Pureplay and/or omnichannel), supporting digital shelf optimisation and eCommerce marketing activation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in ROI analysis, performance measurement, and program optimisation.
  • Solid understanding of business systems and product data processes (e.g., PIM systems such as Stibo, SAP, DAM, Showpad).
  • Proven ability to coordinate external agencies and influence cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong SEO and content optimisation capability across retailer platforms and search ecosystems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and senior stakeholders with high autonomy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated track record of improving digital KPIs, data quality, and digital shelf performance.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, with the confidence to challenge and advise stakeholders.
  • Experience in a B2B or distributor‑led environment is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English required; additional European languages (French, Spanish, Italian, German) are a plus.

Leadership Principles – To Play to Win, You Will Demonstrate:

  • Knowing is Half the Battle
  • Break the Mold
  • Take Charge
  • Be Legendary
