SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary – CACHE Level 2/3 Desirable – Tower Hamlets
£100–£115 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term | Tower Hamlets

Axcis Education is recruiting a strong SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school in Tower Hamlets, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and behavioural needs.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, as these candidates tend to bring a really strong understanding of child development, classroom support and SEND. That said, CACHE is desirable rather than essential — strong school-based SEND experience will absolutely be considered.

This role would suit someone who is calm, proactive and confident supporting pupils both 1:1 and in small groups, with the ability to build relationships quickly and help children become more independent in their learning.

About the Role
Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Working with children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and behavioural difficulties
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Assisting with phonics, literacy, numeracy and classroom interventions
Helping pupils with focus, emotional regulation and classroom routines
Supporting children against EHCP targets and individual learning plans
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider SEND team
Encouraging independence rather than over-supporting pupils
About You

We would particularly like to hear from candidates who:
Have previous experience working as a SEND TA, LSA or similar support role
Hold a CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification – highly desirable
Have experience supporting Autism, ADHD or speech and language needs
Are confident working 1:1 and with small groups
Understand how to support pupils while still promoting independence
Are reliable, patient and able to use initiative
Can commit to a full-time, long-term role

The role is based in Tower Hamlets, with excellent transport links across East London via the District, Hammersmith & City, Central, Elizabeth and DLR lines.
