MOT TESTER/SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Hedin Automotive BMW & MINI is looking for a MOT Tester or Service Technician to join our Ruxley Centre. You will work alongside a fantastic, dedicated service team and will work from a state-of-the-art workshop. YOUR ROLE.

As an MOT Tester and Service Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards by conducting MOT tests, performing detailed service inspections, diagnosing faults, and repairing or replacing worn or malfunctioning components—all while maintaining high standards of workmanship, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The main duties of the role include:

• Conducting MOT inspections and repairs in in accordance with BMW and DVSA standards

• Perform thorough inspections of vehicles, including brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, and emissions.

• • Perform Servicing and Maintenance of vehicles

• Identify, report and rectify any faults accurately

• Maintain accurate records of test results.

• Perform servicing and maintenance of vehicles in accordance with BMW/MINI UK standards

• Deliver high standards of technical advice, service, and maintenance to all customers

YOUR PROFILE.

• Valid MOT Tester qualification

• Level 2/3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair/ATA qualification (or equivalent)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven experience working on vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs, either in a dealership, or independent garage

• Valid clean UK Driving Licence and must be eligible to work in the UK

SALARY AND HOURS.

Basic salary £27,500 to £28,000 with an OTE of up to £39,600 + per annum.

Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm with Sat, 8am to 12.30pm on a 1 in 4 rota basis, paid as overtime.
