HR Manager - Independent SEN School in Westminster
An independent SEN school in Westminster is seeking an experienced and highly organised HR Manager to lead and develop the school’s people function. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to work within a specialist education setting where staff wellbeing, compliance, and safeguarding are central to the school’s success.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources across the school, ensuring robust, compliant, and supportive HR practices are in place. Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational HR support, helping to recruit, retain, and develop high-quality staff who support pupils with special educational needs.
Your responsibilities will include managing recruitment and onboarding processes, advising on employee relations matters, overseeing performance management and appraisal systems, and ensuring policies and procedures align with employment law and safeguarding requirements. You will also manage absence, wellbeing initiatives, training and development, and support leaders with staffing strategy and workforce planning.

Experience & Qualifications
• Proven experience in an HR management role
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and policy development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of discretion and professionalism
• Experience within education or SEN settings desirable
