Demand Planner

We are looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join the team. You will be responsible for creating a robust demand plan and managing the inventory for the business as well as working cross functionally with the wider supply chain and commercial teams to deliver business targets.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for ensuring accurate, timely forecasts are delivered to the business for the relevant sales group or warehouse.
- Leading the demand reviews, being able to explain the numbers being submitted: i.e. seasonality, risks and opportunities, new products and end of life, ensuring a consensus forecast output.
- Responsible for reviewing largest deviations and forecast accuracy drivers, ensuring cross-functional support is received to improve the forward forecasts.
- Maintaining data validity and historical cleanliness in our statistical forecasting tool.
- Utilising additional data where appropriate, such as customer forecasts, sell-out data, and market insights to better inform the base forecast.
- Working collaboratively and cross-functionally to understand and deliver the customer requirements.
- Supporting with stock prioritisation decisions based on forecast, current inventory, and future inventory projections to facilitate high service level for our key retailers, utilising Product Allocation or Stock Reservation mechanisms.
- Driving process excellence including championing the S&OP process, continuous improvement and best practice.
- Supporting the Demand Planning Manager in contributing to and influencing strategic plans.
- Additional projects as the business grows supporting the Demand Planning Manager.
- To carry out any other reasonable management requested task.
What we need from you:
- Previous experience in a similar forecasting/demand planning/supply chain role essential.
- Fully proficient in standard IT packages.
- Advanced Excel user essential for the role
- Experience of SAP beneficial
- Experience of statistical forecasting systems
- High degree of numeracy and analysis
- Demonstrates a strong sense of individual accountability
