HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
We have an opportunity within HSBC Asset Management operations team for an Evergreen Product Owner (Business Transformation).
This is a pivotal role within the Business transformation team aligned to a specific project. The role is to adopt ownership for the project management delivery of an IT Software systems and processes transformation aligned to our Alternative Asset Management Evergreen products; this includes products in Alternative Credit, Indirect Private Market, and other asset Alternative classes as required.
We will value working knowledge of systems that underpins this process and are aligned to the Alternatives Evergreen product capabilities.
In this role you will:
- Effective project management of delivery of systems and processes to enable our Alternative Asset Management Evergreen products to market.
- Produce a well-defined project plan, identifying the key milestones and assigning responsibilities/resources.
- Mobilise and directly manage the project team and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
- Engage with various internal business stakeholders and project teams to build end to end operating model, manage any change requirements and to ensure successful handover to BAU.
- Accountable for all budget, cost and deadlines whilst adhering to the Group’s Business Transformation Framework and Control methods.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
- Owing to the specific nature of the role, experience of Alternative Asset Management Front to Middle office platforms (eg, Allvue Simcorp, Charles River eFront) is essential.
- Significant evidence of leading full spectrum projects aligned to the Asset Management environment is essential.
- Able to demonstrate traditional project management techniques such as waterfall approach, agile methodology etc is essential.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, coupled with a professional confidence, that engender the view of a ‘Trusted partner’ is essential.
- Solid time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks with conflicting priorities is essential.
This role is based at HSBC Office in London and has a hybrid working pattern
