Microsoft Azure & O365 Technical Lead
- Administer and support Microsoft O365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.
- Oversee, manage and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Azure AD, virtual machines, storage accounts, backup, and networking.
- Monitor system performance and availability, responding to incidents, troubleshooting, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Implement and maintain security best practices across O365 and Azure, including conditional access, MFA, role-based access control, and data loss prevention policies.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting.
- Lead or support migration projects (e.g., Exchange to O365, on-prem to Azure).
- Review and input into Azure designs ensuring security and resilience in all environments.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in particular Technical Services Lead to deliver IT solutions aligned with business needs on time and to budget.
- Stay updated on Microsoft product developments and recommend improvements or innovations and maintain relevant certifications as required.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft O365 and Azure administration and support.
- Microsoft Certifications such as MS-102, AZ-104, AZ-900, or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and administration portal.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure AD, Azure IaaS/PaaS, and related services.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Experience with identity and access management, security/compliance tools, and endpoint management via Intune.
- Familiarity with hybrid environments and on-prem integration with cloud services.
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure.
- Experience of managing Active Directory and all associated services such as DNS, DHCP etc
- Experience of managing team members, on and off shore.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proven track record of delivering multiple projects to time and budget simultaneously.
- Excellent team work and ability to influence decisions and mentor other team members.
