Operations Manager (Solar PV)

Installio
London

Installio is looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead the delivery of our growing Solar PV installation programme. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while driving operational performance and creating an outstanding customer experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing renewable energy business where you'll have real ownership over day-to-day operations, work closely with installation partners, and help shape the processes that support our continued growth.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of Solar PV installations from order confirmation through to successful completion. You'll manage installation schedules, subcontractor performance, operational processes, and customer communications to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

You'll work cross-functionally with sales, technical, compliance, and customer success teams, using data to identify improvements and drive operational excellence as Installio continues to scale.

  • Manage customer communications, providing proactive updates throughout the installation process

  • Resolve escalated customer issues professionally and efficiently

  • Continuously improve the customer experience by identifying opportunities to streamline processes

Operational Improvement

  • Analyse operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability

  • Develop, document, and optimise operational processes

  • Work closely with Product, Technical, and Commercial teams to improve workflows and customer outcomes

  • Support the implementation of new systems, automation, and operational initiatives

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure installations are delivered in line with company standards and industry regulations

  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation

  • Support quality assurance processes and operational reporting

  • Work with internal teams to ensure compliance across the installation lifecycle

Requirements

  • Experience in an Operations Manager, Operations Coordinator, Project Coordinator, or Delivery Manager role within field operations or installation environments

  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Comfortable working with operational data, CRMs, scheduling platforms, and spreadsheets

  • A proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Experience within Solar PV, electrical installations, construction, utilities, or renewable energy would be highly desirable

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Solar PV installation processes

  • Experience working with MCS-certified installers

  • Familiarity with G98/G99 applications, DNO processes, or renewable energy compliance

  • Experience scaling operational processes within a growing business

Benefits

  • Competitive salary (Up to £40K depending on experience)

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

  • Flexible hybrid working
