Key Responsibilities

  • Staff the main school reception desk, delivering a warm, professional, and helpful welcome to all visitors, parents, and pupils

  • Manage visitor sign-in procedures, issue visitor badges, and enforce strict school safeguarding protocols

  • Handle incoming calls, answer general inquiries, and route messages to appropriate staff members in a timely manner

  • Update pupil attendance, logging late arrivals and parent notifications using school database systems

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, manage general email inboxes, and assist with school mailings

  • Assist senior leadership and administrative colleagues with filing, printing, and general office duties

  • Provide a calm, reassuring presence for pupils visiting the school office or medical room

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the busy school reception area
