Practical Support Role in a Busy School Environment
A secondary school in Hackney is looking to appoint a dependable Site Assistant to support the day-to-day running of the school site. This is a hands-on position suited to someone practical, reliable, and comfortable working across a range of maintenance and facilities tasks.
The successful candidate will support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe and functional environment for staff and students.
Main Duties
This role involves supporting the upkeep of the school buildings and grounds, ensuring facilities remain safe and operational throughout the day.
Key responsibilities include:
Opening and securing school buildings
Carrying out basic maintenance and repair tasks
Supporting room setups for lessons and school activities
Assisting with deliveries and moving equipment
Conducting routine site checks and reporting issues
Maintaining outdoor areas and general cleanliness
Supporting health and safety procedures across the site
You will be expected to respond to day-to-day requests from staff while maintaining routine site responsibilities.
