SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Tower Hamlets Role: SEN Teaching Assistant Start Date: ASAP Location: Tower Hamlets Daily Rate: £90-£110 per day (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time, long-term About the Role A thriving mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) resource centre. This specialist provision offers small group learning with a maximum of 10 pupils per class, ensuring tailored support for every child. You will play a vital role in helping pupils with ASD access learning, build confidence, and develop social and communication skills in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide targeted support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Assist teachers in delivering structured learning to small class groups (no more than 10 pupils). Adapt activities and resources to meet individual learning needs. Encourage independence, positive behaviour, and active participation. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to support progress. Candidate Requirements Previous experience supporting children with ASD or other special educational needs in a school or similar setting. Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting pupils with additional needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A proactive approach to supporting learning and wellbeing. Why Apply?
