Location: Harley Street Campus, Central London (80 Harley Street, 95 Harley Street and 102 Sydney Street, Chelsea)
Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive dependent on skills and experience, plus an exceptional benefits package including Private Healthcare, pension, season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme and more.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Production Pharmacist to join our Aseptics team at our Harley Street Campus, currently rated "Outstanding" by CQC.

Based in London's world-renowned medical district, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing production pharmacy services across our aseptic units, located at 95 Harley Street, 80 Harley Street and 102 Sidney Street (Chelsea), supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care within one of the UK's leading private healthcare organisations.

As a key member of the pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring and leading the provision of a high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy service that consistently meets the needs of patients, clinicians and regulatory requirements. Acting as the Nominated Accountable Pharmacist for unlicensed manufacturing across our three Aseptic Services Units you will provide leadership and oversight for the safe and compliant manufacture and supply of medicines, including ready-to-administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) products.

Working closely with senior pharmacy and operational leaders, you will lead the Production Pharmacy Team and take responsibility for the continued development of aseptic services across the campus. A significant proportion of the role will focus on quality management systems, including validation, audit, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement, ensuring services consistently meet the highest standards of governance and patient safety. You will also contribute to the delivery of strategic projects and quality improvement initiatives designed to enhance service performance and support the future development of aseptic services.

Alongside your operational responsibilities, you will be instrumental in developing the capability of the pharmacy workforce through education, training and mentorship. You will support pharmacists and technical staff in their professional development while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence. As the service continues to grow, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on both service delivery and the future direction of production pharmacy within HCA UK.

At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.

What you'll bring
  • GPhC registration
  • MPharm or equivalent level qualification
  • Significant post-registration experience in aseptic services and production pharmacy.
  • Experience working within licensed and unlicensed manufacturing environments, including accountability for regulatory compliance and governance.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate pharmacists and technical staff.
  • A strong track record in quality assurance, validation, audit and continuous service improvement.
  • Experience leading projects and working with pharmacy technologies, IT systems and digital solutions.
