Purpose of the Role
As an Operations Support Officer (Commercial Training), you will play a critical role in supporting the smooth delivery of Corndel’s commercial training programmes. You will provide scheduling, reporting, and finance support, ensuring all training activities are well-organised, accurate, and delivered to a high standard.
You will also provide technical administration for virtual workshops on Zoom and Microsoft Teams, setting up and managing sessions to ensure they run seamlessly. Occasionally, you will support in-person training events, helping with logistics and onsite administration.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on detail, enjoys balancing multiple priorities, and takes ownership of their work. While reporting into the Operations Support Team, you will work almost exclusively with the Commercial Training Team, with occasional support for wider Operations projects.
Key Responsibilities
General Administration
- Manage team inboxes, responding to queries promptly and escalating where appropriate.
- Provide diary and meeting support including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and filing systems using SharePoint, Excel, and other tools.
- Format, update, and circulate standard templates, documents, and reports.
Scheduling & Coordination
- Maintain and update training schedules to support smooth delivery of workshops and meetings.
- Support resourcing administration by keeping allocations and attendance trackers up to date.
- Coordinate learner and client communications, including reminders and follow-ups.
Data & Reporting
- Collect, input, and check learner attendance and feedback data.
- Collate survey responses into concise internal and client-facing summary reports.
- Maintain and improve reporting templates for accuracy and consistency.
Workshop Administration (Virtual and in person)
- Confidently manage Zoom and Microsoft Teams functions, both live and in the backend (polls, breakout rooms, whiteboards, recordings, chat, and Menti integrations).
- Preconfigure and test session elements to ensure smooth delivery.
- Provide live technical administration (e.g., admitting participants, launching polls, troubleshooting).
- Store session resources (slides, recordings, reports) consistently on SharePoint.
- Book venues, rooms, and travel arrangements for delivery staff.
- Prepare printed resources and support with onsite logistics and administration when required.
Finance & Process Support
- Raise purchase orders, process invoices, and maintain accurate finance records.
- Liaise with Finance to resolve queries and ensure timely payments.
- Support process improvements to increase team efficiency.
- Coordinate with payroll to effectively remunerate engagements
Office & Ad Hoc Support
- Attend scheduled Commercial Training meetings in the London office (minimum 4x per year).
- Be flexible to travel to London for training events and team projects, with costs covered by policy.
- Provide additional administrative support to the Commercial Training team and occasional overflow support to Operations.
Culture, Care & Communication
- Actively contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture built on trust, collaboration, and accountability, reflecting Corndel’s values and behavioural framework.
- Support wellbeing and psychological safety by creating respectful, empathetic, and supportive interactions with colleagues.
- Build strong working relationships across teams, ensuring effective communication and a sense of connection, even in a remote-first environment.
- Model excellent communication by sharing information clearly, promptly, and with consideration of different audiences.
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and inclusivity in all aspects of your work, helping to create a workplace where colleagues feel valued and empowered.
Success in this role looks like:
- Virtual and in-person training workshops are delivered seamlessly, with learners, trainers, and clients feeling supported and confident throughout.
- Training schedules, records, and data are consistently accurate, well-maintained, and easily accessible to those who need them.
- Reports and feedback summaries are produced on time, with insights that are trusted and valued by internal and external stakeholders.
- Finance processes are handled efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with organisational standards.
- Technical support during workshops is smooth and reliable, enhancing the experience for trainers and participants and building confidence in delivery.
- The Commercial Training team is fully supported, freeing them to focus on delivering high-quality programmes and an excellent learner experience.
You’ll be brilliant in this role if you:
- Have advanced technical knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft Teams, including live event features (polls, breakout rooms, whiteboards, chat, recordings, reports, and integrations like Menti).
- Are confident with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Forms) and comfortable learning new platforms.
- Bring excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Have strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to record keeping and reporting.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
- Are proactive, take ownership of tasks, and follow them through independently.
- Work well as part of a team, offering support to colleagues when needed.
- Are flexible and willing to travel to London regularly to support workshops and team projects.
