A welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Ealing is looking to appoint an experienced and analytical Data Manager to oversee the school's information systems and ensure the accuracy of pupil data across all areas of school life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, reporting and school management systems while supporting strategic decision-making.
Working closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Office Manager, you will manage the school's Management Information System, produce detailed reports and ensure statutory returns are completed accurately and on time. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting school improvement by providing reliable information that helps leaders monitor progress and make informed decisions.
This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.

Data Team
The Data Team supports school leaders by maintaining accurate pupil information and producing reports that inform teaching, assessment and school improvement. As Data Manager, you will oversee the school's data systems while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and data protection legislation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the school's Management Information System.
Maintaining accurate pupil records.
Producing assessment, attendance and progress reports.
Coordinating statutory census returns.
Supporting admissions and leavers processes.
Preparing reports for governors and senior leaders.
Working closely with teaching staff to ensure data accuracy.
Monitoring data quality across school systems.
Supporting timetable and class organisation where required.
Ensuring GDPR compliance.
Providing training and support to staff using the MIS.
Identifying opportunities to improve data management processes.
The successful candidate will become an important member of the leadership support team, helping ensure the school continues to make effective use of high-quality data to improve outcomes for pupils.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Data Manager or within school data administration.
Strong knowledge of school Management Information Systems.
Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and organisational skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Commitment to safeguarding.
Positive, proactive and professional approach.
