Incident Command Manager (Greater London)
Role : Major Incident Manager

Duration : 6 months (PAYE)
Role Overview
Lead the Major Incident capability for critical technology, with a specific focus on payments and financial crime platforms. You will command crisis response, manage executive communications, and drive continuous operational improvement across an engineering-led Organization.
Key Responsibilities
Incident Command: Lead Sev1/Sev2 incidents, chair recovery bridges, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Senior Escalation: Act as the ultimate escalation point for critical business and regulatory outages.
Executive Comms: Own transparent, high-level communications for stakeholders and executives during incidents.
Governance & Remediation: Run Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs), track preventative actions, and maintain severity runbooks.
Operational Readiness: Run resilience simulations and ensure new services are tested and fully supported before go-live.
Key Skills
Crisis Leadership: Proven track record in Major Incident or Crisis Management.
Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of payments infrastructure and financial crime(AML/Fraud) systems.
Tech & Frameworks: Strong understanding of modern ITSM, SRE principles, and observability.
Regulatory Experience : Comfortable operating and communicating within highly regulated environments.
Collaboration & Influence: Ability to translate technical issues for executives and align Engineering, Product, and vendor teams during a crisis.
This role will operate on a 4 day working week consisting of 10 hours per day and will also include on call shifts 1 in 4 weeks. Specific times can be supplied upon application conversations.
