Parliamentary Assistant
Nick Timothy MP is looking for a full-time Parliamentary Assistant to join his team in Westminster.

This role will involve helping Nick’s office respond quickly and thoughtfully to a high volume of enquiries from constituents, and would suit someone with a positive, can-do attitude. A reliable and conscientious approach, with a strong work ethic, is essential.
Responsibilities will include drafting correspondence to West Suffolk constituents, researching policy on both local and national issues, and supporting Nick’s wider communications work.
Requirements
• A genuine interest in helping constituents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to complete work quickly and to a high standard, often under pressure
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise effectively
• Willingness to undertake a wide range of tasks and support the team as required
• An interest in current affairs and sympathy with the aims and values of the Conservative Party
• The ability to work with sensitivity, discretion, and strict adherence to data protection legislation
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Dealing with enquiries from members of the public
• Drafting policy and casework responses to constituents
• Analysing patterns of enquiries and producing reports
• Logging and monitoring casework to ensure all actions are completed
• Assisting with research projects
• Attending parliamentary and constituency events as required
