Children's Home Registered Manager

Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £56,600 (includes bonuses)
Specific Hours: 40 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager for our 3-bed children's home in London. If you have a passion for working with young people aged 11-17 who exhibit challenging behavior, we want to hear from you!
Main Purpose of Role
As a Registered Manager, you will be accountable for delivering high-quality care to the children and young people in our home. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering all care services and managing day-to-day operations.
- Strategic planning for developments within the home.
- Building on the principles and practice standards expected at our organization.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of childcare standards.
- Providing practical leadership and support to staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Responsibilities
- Supervising and mentoring staff.
- Organizing work patterns and facilitating care-focused training.
- Accessing appropriate services to support childcare practices.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 5 in Management and NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Children's Act 1989 and Care Standards Act 2000.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
Working Conditions
While the home manager is employed for 40 hours per week, you will need to arrange your own work rota, which may include evening, weekend, and night shifts. You will be responsible for ensuring an appropriate staff presence to meet the childcare needs of the children and young people in the home.
