Project Manager – Office Fit–Out

Location: London & South East (with travel as required)

Salary: 65,000 – 75,000 per annum + Benefits

Our client is a well–established design and build contractor specialising in the delivery of high–quality commercial office fit–out and refurbishment projects across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their delivery team.

The Role

Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of commercial office fit–out projects from pre–construction through to completion and handover. You will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the successful delivery of commercial office fit–out and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion.

• Coordinate design, procurement and construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.

• Develop, manage and monitor project programmes to ensure key milestones are achieved.

• Lead project teams, including Site Managers, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, landlords, project managers and professional teams.

• Monitor project costs, variations, forecasts and overall commercial performance.

• Identify and manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies where required.

• Chair project meetings and provide regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.

• Manage project commissioning, handover and close–out documentation.

• Provide regular project updates, programme reviews and forecasts to the Senior Project Manager.

• Drive exceptional levels of client satisfaction and project delivery.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the commercial office fit–out sector.

• Strong understanding of CAT A and CAT B fit–out projects.

• Experience delivering projects within occupied and live environments.

• Excellent programme management and organisational skills.

• Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project teams.

• Excellent communication and client–facing skills.

• SMSTS qualified.

• Valid CSCS Black Card.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• First Aid at Work qualification.

• Knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration.

• Experience working within a design and build environment.

• APM, CIOB or equivalent professional membership.

• Basic salary of 65,000 – 75,000 per annum.
