Substation Delivery Manager

About the Role
As an experienced Substation Delivery Manager you will take ownership of the successful delivery of substation infrastructure projects. You will lead site teams, collaborate with project managers, and engage key stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to spec.
This is a leadership role with real responsibility managing resources, driving performance, ensuring compliance, and championing safety and quality on site.
What You Will Be Doing
- Resource Leadership – Manage and deploy Site Managers, Supervisors, and Direct Labour across your portfolio of projects.
- HSE Champion – Embed a strong safety-first culture across all worksites.
- Delivery Focused – Ensure timely project completion aligned with scope, budget, and programme.
- Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners to maintain smooth operations.
- Quality & Compliance – Conduct inspections, audits and ensure all works meet OCU standards and CDM regulations.
- Team Leadership – Inspire and lead high-performing teams with a focus on accountability and excellence.
What You Will Bring
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience delivering substation or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, HV/EHV equipment, and grid connections.
- In-depth understanding of CDM Regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
