Surrey Cricket Foundation is a registered Charity affiliated with the Surrey County Cricket Club. It keeps recreational cricket in Surrey and South London growing and thriving and uses the power of cricket as a force for good. We are looking for someone who can help us tell our powerful story with energy, creativity, originality and flare.

The Role

You will be responsible for bringing the Foundation's work to life – showing how cricket is changing lives, attracting new people to the game and demonstrating the value of our programmes to participants, partners, funders and the wider Surrey community. You will create engaging content across digital channels, with a particular focus on short-form video and film, while ensuring the Foundation is represented consistently and professionally across all our communications, events and activities. You will work closely with colleagues across the Foundation to identify great stories, capture compelling content and turn our work into communications that inspire people to get involved, support us and understand the difference we make.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate impact

• Develop compelling stories that showcase the impact of Surrey Cricket Foundation's programmes and the difference they make to individuals and communities.
• Turn programme outcomes, data and participant experiences into engaging and accessible content.
• Develop communications that demonstrate the value of our work to funders, partners, stakeholders and potential supporters.
• Build a strong library of photography, video, testimonials and case studies that can be used across the Foundation.
• Design and create the Foundation’s Annual Impact Report.

Create engaging video and digital content

• Lead the creation of engaging short films, reels and video content for social media, websites, events, presentations and fundraising.
• Plan, film and edit content.
• Capture content at schools, clubs, community sessions, training and events.
• Stay up to date with emerging social media formats, trends and best practice and identify opportunities to use them effectively.

Build and protect the Foundation brand

• Ensure Surrey Cricket Foundation's brand is represented consistently, professionally and effectively across digital channels, events, coaching sessions and other public-facing activity. ·
• Ensure signage, presentations, promotional materials and other communications at Foundation events and activities reflect the brand effectively.
• Work collaboratively with Surrey County Cricket Club colleagues to ensure appropriate alignment and consistency.

Digital channels and communications

• Manage and develop content across the Foundation's website and social media channels.
• Create and maintain an effective content calendar linked to organisational priorities and programme activity.
• Monitor engagement and use data and insight to improve communications.
• Ensure content is timely, accurate, engaging and appropriate for each audience and platform.
• Support newsletters, email communications and digital campaigns as required.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to move comfortably between filming at a community cricket session, creating a social campaign, writing a case study and advising colleagues on the Foundation brand and will ideally have:

• Experience working in marketing, communications, content creation or a similar role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences.
• Demonstrable experience creating short-form video and social media content, including filming and editing.
• Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and an understanding of what makes content engaging.
• Experience managing digital content, ideally including websites and email communications.
• A strong eye for visual presentation and attention to detail.
• Experience using analytics and insight to evaluate and improve communications.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A willingness to get out and about across Surrey to capture content at programmes, training sessions, schools, clubs and events.
• An understanding of, or genuine interest in, cricket and the role sport can play in creating positive change.

Desirable:

• A full driving licence with access to own transport.
