Operations & Projects Associate - 6 month FTC
£40,000 per annum Operations London
Location: London Hybrid (3 days in the office)
Contract Duration: 6 months
native has been building for 10 years, but we're still very much a startup: fast-moving, ambitious, and building with intent. We're creating the infrastructure that connects students, Students’ Unions, universities, and advertisers through a managed marketplace.
Our goal is to deliver for students by increasing student engagement while enabling Students’ Unions to secure sustainable funding. For advertisers, we offer meaningful, measurable routes to student audiences. The more aligned these incentives are, the more defensible and scalable our business becomes.
The Opportunity
We're looking for someone who wants to learn how a whole business works, not just one corner of it.. You'll work with teams across the business, supporting the planning and delivery of internal initiatives. The heart of this role is relationships: building trust with teams across sales, operations, delivery, tech, finance and people, and getting things done through others with persistence and good humour.
This is a great fit for someone early in their career who is curious about everything, from commercial pipelines to logistics, and wants a front-row view of how a scaling company makes decisions.
What you’ll be working on
As a Operations & Projects Associate, you’ll be responsible for...
Keep a portfolio of cross-functional projects on track: set milestones, track progress against them, and raise it early when something slips
Turn conversations into action: capture decisions and actions from leadership and project meetings, then follow up with owners until things are done
Build strong working relationships with team leads across the business, and get the input, data and decisions each project needs
Help produce weekly and monthly leadership reporting, pulling data from our CRM and spreadsheets and turning it into a short, clear story
Learn how each part of Native works and spot where things connect, or break, between teams
Prepare agendas, briefing notes and short papers that help leaders make decisions
Over time, take ownership of smaller projects from start to finish
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring vision, structure, and operational discipline to a fast-growing function. You know how to scale people-driven operations and balance commercial priorities with quality, compliance, and culture.
Specifically, you will bring:
0 to 2 years' experience in a project coordination, project support, operations or similar role (internships and relevant uni or volunteering experience count)
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Clear, concise writing: you can turn a messy meeting into five lines someone will actually read
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and shifting priorities
Confident using AI tools and collaboration and project tools; quick to identify and learn new ones
Highly organised, with a good eye for detail and the ability to juggle several projects at once
Discretion: you'll regularly handle confidential leadership information
Genuine curiosity about how businesses work, and the energy to learn quicklyA proactive, problem-solving attitude
Nice to have
A project management qualification or interest in one
Experience in a startup, tech, media or marketing environment
Basic data and reporting skills (Excel / Google Sheets)
Whats in it for you
Base Salary: £40,000 per annum
