Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Data Architect to join our high profile client on a 6 month contract.

My client is a well known financial software house, providing platforms and consultancy to the financial and insurance space.

This is a brand new role due to a volume of new customers.

Day to day the Data Architect will:

• Building relationships with business SMEs and stakeholders to understand their business requirements.
• Communicating innovative data-centric solutions and providing strong architectural designs to develop a workable solution.
• Provide expertise on Data management capabilities.
• Analyse and model data concepts across the enterprise.
• Consulting on the necessary data architecture, elaborating the requirements, business KPIs and other reporting or analytical outputs.

My client runs their own internal cloud for their application so some exposure to cloud based services would be ideal but it can be taught. Customers access the cloud and have some elements of the platform hosted within their infrastructure architecture so client site exposure is likely.

With a track record of design and implementation of data strategy and databases, ideally you will have consulting/client facing experience ( this is beneficial not essential)

The successful data architect will have experience in working with data solutions, such as; Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence or Analytics based solutions.

As a data architect you will have experience across one or more of the following

• MDM
• Data Analytics
• Data Strategy
• Big Data
• Data Base design.

Technically proficient across

• DB2
• Oracle
• SQL

Data Architects Must have:

• Experience Client facing
• Experience of ETL
• 5 years commercial data architecture experience
• Data Modelling
• Relational and multi-dimensional data modelling and mapping
• Data mapping in an enterprise environment
• ETL
• Data Warehousing
• Ideally Salesforce or Financial Data experience
