We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Heathrow Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton.
Heathrow IRC combines Colnbrook and Harmondsworth removals centres under one management structure making it the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents.

Working as a night nurse you will be based within the healthcare department working with other nurses on shifts covering both sites.

Hours
  • Monday - Sunday
  • 3 7.5 hours per week
  • 7pm - 7.30am - nights
Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £44,863 - £53,172per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing
As a Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.
  • Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
  • Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework

  • Registered nurse - Adult
  • Current professional qualification (NMC)
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
