Fire Safety Project Manager
1–Year Fixed–Term Contract
c. 60,000 per annum + Benefits
We are seeking a Fire Safety Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major fire safety works programme across a residential property portfolio. This role will focus on managing fire safety projects, contractor performance, compliance activities, and ensuring that remediation works are delivered to the highest standards.
Working closely with asset management, property and building safety teams, you will provide technical expertise, oversee consultants and contractors, and support the long–term development of fire safety strategies and investment programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage fire safety projects and remediation programmes from inception through to completion.
- Oversee Employer's Agents, consultants and contractors, ensuring high standards of performance and compliance.
- Conduct fire safety inspections, surveys and quality assurance audits.
- Monitor contract delivery, manage variations and support effective budget control.
- Ensure recommendations arising from Fire Risk Assessments and other compliance reports are implemented and monitored.
- Provide technical advice to senior stakeholders on fire safety, compliance and building safety matters.
- Maintain accurate compliance and asset management records.
- Support the management of building safety risks and ensure compliance with current legislation and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience managing complex fire safety projects, remediation programmes, and contractor delivery.
- Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and associated legislation.
- Experience working within housing, property services, or residential asset management environments.
- Strong contract management, project planning and budget management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
- A proactive approach with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications Required:
- Recognised qualification in Fire Safety, Building Safety, Construction or a related discipline.
- Fire Safety Level 4 qualification, NEBOSH, IOSH, IFE or equivalent desirable.
- Strong understanding of fire safety compliance within residential buildings.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
