Assistant Merchandiser, Menswear
What’s the role about?
We’re looking for a confident and commercially driven Assistant Merchandiser to support the delivery and performance of our range. In this role, you’ll be a key partner to the Merchandiser in Menswear, helping to drive decisions, implement actions, and ensure the range is traded effectively throughout the season. You’ll take ownership of key processes across range planning, in-season trading and stock management, while also acting as a guide and support to junior team members. This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical thinking, clear communication and the confidence to challenge and influence.
Who you are
- Commercially minded with strong analytical skills and a clear understanding of trading actions.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively.
- Confident using systems and reports to analyse performance and inform decision-making.
- A proactive problem-solver who is comfortable challenging suppliers and internal teams.
- A strong communicator who builds effective relationships across Buying, Product Development and Technical.
- A natural mentor who enjoys supporting and developing junior team members.
What you’ll be doing
- Playing a key role in the end-to-end management of the Range Plan, ensuring accuracy across systems and timely PO creation.
- Maintaining and updating PO and intake trackers, working closely with Buying and Product Development to ensure nothing is missed.
- Building and utilising reports through Board to support analysis, including lessons learned and performance reviews.
- Managing and presenting categories in weekly Trade meetings, with clear actions and recommendations.
- Preparing weekly trading analysis, demonstrating strong market understanding and proposing actions to drive sales.
- Managing line-carded product, forecasting accurately to ensure continuity styles remain in stock.
- Monitoring intake, online amends and delivery performance, flagging risks and recommending phasing, cancellations or changes where needed.
- Acting as a key point of contact across the supply base and internal teams, ensuring actions from progress meetings are delivered while supporting and mentoring the Trainee Merchandiser.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and company bonus.
- Up to 65% employee discount.
- Access to exclusive sample sales.
- Aviva DigiCare+ wellbeing services.
- Medicash health support plan.
- Workplace pension contributions.
- Enhanced parental leave policies.
- Electric Vehicle scheme via Octopus Energy.
- Cycle to Work programme.
- Season ticket travel loan.
- Plus further workplace benefits.
