AI Business Analyst - Capital Markets
AI Business Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Capital Markets | Type: Permanent
Help leading Capital Markets organisations turn AI opportunities into scalable business solutions across front, middle, and back-office operations
The Role
Join Capco’s Capital Markets practice as an AI Business Analyst, helping investment banks, exchanges, market infrastructure providers, broker-dealers, asset managers, and trading organisations bridge the gap between emerging AI capabilities and practical business outcomes.
This role sits at the intersection of business analysis, AI enablement, and transformation delivery, supporting clients as they identify, prioritise, and implement AI-driven solutions across trading, operations, risk, compliance, regulatory reporting, client servicing, and post-trade functions.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, delivery teams, and AI specialists to define use cases, analyse processes, gather requirements, and support the successful delivery of AI-enabled solutions within complex and highly regulated Capital Markets environments.
Alongside transformation delivery, you will help clients navigate AI adoption responsibly, balancing innovation with governance, operational risk, model oversight, and regulatory expectations. You will contribute to process optimisation, AI performance measurement, business readiness, and change adoption activities, ensuring AI solutions deliver measurable business value while supporting operational resilience and regulatory compliance.
What You’ll Do
Work with Capital Markets stakeholders across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to identify, analyse, and define AI-enabled opportunities, including Generative AI and agentic workflow use cases that improve productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
Facilitate workshops, gather and document requirements, map business processes, and support the translation of trading, post-trade, regulatory, and operational challenges into practical AI-enabled solutions with measurable business outcomes.
Support Agile and hybrid delivery programmes by contributing to backlog refinement, user stories, acceptance criteria, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and governance activities using approved AI tools where they enhance speed, quality, or insight.
Partner with AI engineers, architects, product owners, and business SMEs to support the development, testing, validation, and deployment of AI-enabled capabilities across Capital Markets functions while ensuring outputs remain aligned to business requirements and regulatory obligations.
Support responsible AI adoption by contributing to governance, operational risk management, regulatory compliance, change management, training, and business readiness activities, including human-in-the-loop controls, auditability, escalation pathways, and monitoring frameworks.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working as a Business Analyst, Consultant, or transformation professional within Capital Markets environments, with strong exposure to Investment Banking, Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities, Derivatives, Prime Services, Securities Services, or Market Infrastructure.
Strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical AI concepts into clear business outcomes for Capital Markets stakeholders.
Understanding of AI technologies and the broader AI ecosystem, including Generative AI, GPT, Copilot, agentic workflows, NLP, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted decision support capabilities.
Experience supporting business, technology, data, or AI transformation programmes within Capital Markets, with exposure to Agile delivery methodologies, process optimisation, and organisational change activities.
Analytical and adaptable mindset, with an understanding of operational risk, governance, regulatory requirements, and responsible AI adoption within Capital Markets organisations.
Bonus Points For
Experience delivering transformation initiatives across Front Office, Electronic Trading, Trade Lifecycle Management, Post-Trade Operations, Settlements, Regulatory Reporting, Market Risk, or Client Lifecycle Management.
Knowledge of Capital Markets regulations and frameworks such as MiFID II, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, SFTR, CFTC, Basel, or other global regulatory reporting requirements.
Experience supporting AI product delivery, workflow automation, intelligent operations, or agentic AI initiatives within Capital Markets organisations.
Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps, MLOps, enterprise AI platforms, data governance, or AI governance frameworks.
Exposure to Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Power Automate, enterprise AI ecosystems, or Capital Markets data and workflow platforms.
