You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, covering a broad curriculum that includes physical processes, human environments and contemporary geographical issues.
Students will explore topics such as climate change, rivers, coasts, ecosystems, population, urbanisation, development and global inequalities. You will use case studies and current events to help students understand how these issues affect different communities and environments.
At GCSE, you will develop students' confidence with geographical data, map skills, fieldwork and extended writing. You will also prepare students for examination questions by teaching them how to apply knowledge rather than simply recall information.
Regular assessment will allow you to monitor progress and identify areas where students need further explanation, practice or challenge.

Geography Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Geography Degree
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4
GCSE Geography experience
Strong knowledge of physical and human Geography
Confidence with geographical skills and fieldwork
Effective classroom management
Strong planning and assessment skills
Ability to engage students with current geographical issues
Commitment to student progress
Salary
The salary for this Geography Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
