A well-regarded girls’ secondary school in Haringey is seeking a proactive and organised Attendance Officer to join its pastoral and administration team with an ASAP start on an ongoing basis.
This is an important role within the school, supporting students, staff, and families to maintain high levels of attendance and engagement in education.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and improving student attendance, ensuring accurate records are maintained and appropriate interventions are implemented where necessary.
The role will involve:
Monitoring daily student attendance and punctuality
Following up on absences with parents and carers
Maintaining accurate attendance records using school systems
Identifying attendance patterns and supporting targeted interventions
Working closely with pastoral staff and senior leaders to improve attendance
Liaising with parents, external agencies, and local authorities when required
