Shift Engineer

Job Title Maintenance Engineer | Location Forest Gate

Shift 12-hour days and nights rotating

To excel in this role as a maintenance engineer, you'll need to be resilient and adaptable due to the nature of the fast-paced environment you will be working with. Using your own initiative will be key a lot of the time.

Working with a team of skilled technicians, you’ll be responsible for not only repairing issues with the bakery production lines, but encouraged to implement positive ideas in the reliability of the machines moving forward.

You will be instrumental in the diagnosing and repairing of both electrical and mechanical faults within the factory. Your remit will be to carry out essential machine maintenance to ensure the smooth running of the production line and limit downtime.

You’ll be passionate about the role engineers can play in making improvements and how you can influence situations instead of just being reactive. In this role, you will ensure faults are found quickly and repaired efficiently.

You will be working less than half the year due to the fantastic shift pattern on offer.

The Key Requirements...

1. Minimum Level 3 or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering

1. Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, working both electrically and mechanically
2. Competent in your weaker discipline
3. History of working within a fast-paced environment; food, FMCG or industrial manufacturing preferred.
