Experienced School Finance Manager?

We're regularly contacted by schools across Tower Hamlets that need experienced finance professionals who can start quickly.

Perhaps their Finance Manager is unexpectedly absent, the finance team needs additional support during a busy period, or they simply need an experienced pair of hands for a short-term project.

Whatever the reason, we're looking to register experienced School Finance Managers who are available for temporary assignments.

Your Experience

Assignments could involve:

• Managing the school's day-to-day finance function

• Budget monitoring and financial reporting

• Managing purchase orders, invoices and payments

• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations

• Supporting payroll processes

• Managing school finance systems

• Preparing financial information for senior leadership

• Supporting audits and year-end processes

• Managing or supervising finance administration staff

• Ensuring financial procedures and controls are followed

Who We're Looking For

You must have previous experience working within a school finance environment and be confident taking responsibility for the finance function with minimal supervision.

Candidates will need:

✔ A clear DBS
✔ DBS on the Update Service, or issued within the last 6 months
✔ Previous school-based finance experience
✔ Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge
✔ Excellent organisational and communication skills
✔ The ability to work independently and quickly understand a school's processes
✔ Flexibility to work full-time or part-time

Knowledge of school finance systems such as FMS, PS Financials or similar would be useful.
