Supply Chain Counsel
Our client’s business has been carved out of a major global FMCG group and is about to launch as a standalone entity – bringing together a portfolio behind some of the most recognisable hygiene brands in the world.
Key Purpose
To provide practical, commercially focused legal support to the IFP Supply Chain and Procurement organisations, supporting day-to-day operational legal needs while building capability in supply chain contracting, risk management and compliance across IFP’s international footprint.

Main Responsibilities
- Support the Supply Chain and Procurement organisations in providing legal advice across a broad range of supply chain and procurement matters affecting IFP’s operations globally.
- Draft, review and negotiate routine supply chain contracts, including:
- Manufacturing and tolling agreements
- Raw material and packaging supply agreements
- Logistics, warehousing and distribution agreements
- Engineering, maintenance and services contracts
- Assist with contract risk assessments, issue-spotting and escalation of material risks.
- Support legal input into operational matters such as plant operations, capacity changes, supplier transitions, continuity planning and business transformation projects.
- Assist with implementation of legal and compliance initiatives impacting the supply chain, including competition law, anti-corruption, sustainability and data protection (as relevant to suppliers).
- Coordinate with regional and market lawyers to ensure consistency of contract positions and risk approach across jurisdictions.
- Support management of external counsel on discrete supply chain matters where required.
- Help develop and maintain templates, playbooks and training materials for supply chain stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing legal cost and improving speed and consistency of legal support.
Scope and Complexity
- Operates under supervision but with increasing autonomy on lower‑risk and repeatable matters.
- Exposure to multi‑jurisdictional supply chain issues across developed and emerging markets.
- Opportunity to develop subject-matter expertise in supply chain, procurement and manufacturing-related legal issues within a global consumer goods business.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to engage directly with business stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a matrixed global organisation.
Qualifications/Experience
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent, with approximately 4-6 years’ post‑qualification experience, including meaningful experience in commercial law.
- Experience gained within an international organisation and/or reputable law firm.
- Experienced in supporting negotiations and navigating commercial risk.
- Fluency in English.
- Prepared to travel to operations as necessary.
