Nursery Teacher - Bromley
We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a warm and inclusive primary school with an on-site nursery in Bromley, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood development and committed to providing high-quality care and education during the crucial early years.

As a Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will support children’s development across all areas of learning, including communication and language, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development. You will also work closely with teaching assistants and parents to ensure each child receives consistent and individualised support.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS learning activities
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development
Promote early language, communication, and number skills
Observe, assess, and accurately record children’s progress
Differentiate activities to meet individual needs, including SEND and EAL
Encourage independence, curiosity, and positive learning behaviours
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues
Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers
Maintain accurate learning journals and assessment records
Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate EYFS qualification
Have experience working within a Nursery or Early Years setting
Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic
Demonstrate strong classroom organisation and behaviour management
Have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework
Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and child wellbeing
