Nursery Teacher - Bromley

Marchant Recruitment
Bromley, Greater London

We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a warm and inclusive primary school with an on-site nursery in Bromley, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood development and committed to providing high-quality care and education during the crucial early years.

The school has a strong child-centred ethos and places a high value on early years education. Staff work collaboratively to create a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where children feel secure, confident, and excited to learn. Senior leadership is supportive and approachable, with a clear focus on staff wellbeing, training, and professional development.

As a Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will support children’s development across all areas of learning, including communication and language, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional development. You will also work closely with teaching assistants and parents to ensure each child receives consistent and individualised support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS learning activities

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment

  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development

  • Promote early language, communication, and number skills

  • Observe, assess, and accurately record children’s progress

  • Differentiate activities to meet individual needs, including SEND and EAL

  • Encourage independence, curiosity, and positive learning behaviours

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues

  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers

  • Maintain accurate learning journals and assessment records

  • Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate EYFS qualification

  • Have experience working within a Nursery or Early Years setting

  • Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic

  • Demonstrate strong classroom organisation and behaviour management

  • Have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework

  • Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable

  • Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and child wellbeing

The school is located in Bromley, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community. Staff benefit from a professional, inclusive, and well-resourced working environment where teamwork, development, and wellbeing are prioritised.

How to Apply

To apply, please submit an up-to-date CV outlining your experience and suitability for the role.
