As a Principal Consultant, you’ll lead discovery and inception phases to define problem spaces and create measurable outcomes. You will design and implement technical strategies to enhance delivery capability across the Route to Live while guiding organisations in adopting modern engineering practices that bridge quality, cloud, and developer experience.

Responsibilities
Technical Excellence
Provide technical leadership across complex programs of work, ensuring architectural integrity and alignment with best practices
Drive adoption of Quality Cloud Engineering across client engagements using modern software delivery practices including CI/CD, cloud platforms, and quality engineering.
Lead technical direction for large-scale transformation initiatives
Champion and implement modern engineering practices including test automation, continuous delivery, and cloud-native architectures
Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures
Knowledge of quality engineering practices including test automation and continuous testing
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation - Understanding of developer experience optimisation and tooling
Delivery & Implementation
Lead end-to-end program delivery, ensuring successful outcomes through the Route to Live
Build high-performing engineering teams through mentorship and technical guidance
Implement engineering excellence practices that enhance quality, reliability, and developer productivity
Drive continuous improvement through metrics, feedback loops, and iterative enhancement
Drive organisational change and adoption of modern practices
Client Partnership
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to drive technology transformation. You will lead high-stakes strategic workshops, forums, and negotiations, driving outcomes and consensus among senior leadership.
Develop and deliver content for steering committees and executive governance boards.
Manage complex client relationships and negotiations, ensuring alignment and exceeding expectations.
Facilitate technical discovery workshops and strategic planning sessions
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement across client engagements
Act as a trusted advisor for technical strategy and implementation approaches
Commercial management skills with a strong track record of commercial success, including managing large budgets, forecasts, and delivering high-margin profitability.
