STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant
£26,000–£31,000 | Term-Time Only | Full-Time

Considering teaching and want a year of genuine classroom experience before deciding your next move?
KPI Education is recruiting an ambitious STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an academically successful secondary school and sixth form in Fulham, West London.
The school is looking for a talented graduate from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science or another STEM discipline who can bring subject knowledge, enthusiasm and fresh thinking into the classroom.
This isn't about spending a year standing at the back of lessons.
You'll work directly with pupils, support ambitious GCSE and A-Level students, lead academic interventions and help young people discover where STEM could take them.

Put Your STEM Degree Into Practice
One morning you could be helping a Year 11 pupil tackle a difficult Physics problem.
Later, you might support a Chemistry practical, challenge a high-achieving Maths student or help sixth-form pupils prepare for demanding examinations.
You'll encourage students to question, experiment, analyse and problem-solve rather than simply memorise information.
For pupils considering university, you could also become an important academic role model, helping them explore pathways into engineering, medicine, technology, scientific research, mathematics and computing.
As your confidence develops, there may be opportunities to lead interventions and deliver sections of lessons under teacher supervision.
A School Investing in STEM
Based in Fulham, the school combines strong academic expectations with modern facilities and an ambitious approach to teaching and learning.
You'll have access to well-equipped Science laboratories and learning spaces while working alongside experienced professionals who are keen to develop talented graduates.
For someone considering teaching, this offers the opportunity to see the profession from the inside before committing to formal training.
Who Are We Looking For?
A First-Class or 2:1 STEM degree is highly desirable.
We're particularly interested in graduates from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Computer Science and related disciplines.
Previous classroom experience isn't essential.
What matters is your academic ability, communication skills, confidence and enthusiasm for your subject.
You should enjoy explaining ideas, solving problems and encouraging young people to aim higher.
Could Your STEM Career Start in the Classroom?
If you're considering teaching — or simply want a graduate role where your academic background can have a genuine impact — this could be an exceptional first step.
