Site Manager | Well-Regarded Richmond School

Marchant Recruitment
Richmond, Greater London

A well-regarded secondary school in Richmond is looking to appoint a Site Manager to join the team from 2nd November 2026.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced premises professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards and ensuring a school site operates safely and efficiently. You'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the school, working closely with the senior leadership team to provide a first-class environment for pupils and staff.

The Role

As Site Manager, you'll take overall responsibility for the upkeep, security, and maintenance of the school site.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the premises

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs

  • Overseeing health and safety compliance across the site

  • Managing contractors and planned maintenance works

  • Opening and securing the school buildings

  • Supervising the premises and cleaning teams

  • Monitoring site security and responding to maintenance requests

  • Supporting school events and lettings as required

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Site Manager, Premises Manager, Facilities Manager, Estates Supervisor, or Senior Caretaker.

You'll be organised, proactive, and confident managing a busy school site, with a good understanding of health and safety regulations and experience coordinating contractors and maintenance schedules.

As part of the school's safer recruitment procedures, references from your current (or most recent) employer and a previous employer will be required before an interview can be arranged.

Salary & Benefits

  • Full-time, permanent position

  • 2nd November 2026 start

  • Supportive leadership team

  • Excellent pension scheme

  • Ongoing training and professional development
