Early Years Teaching Assistant
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Barking & Dagenham, recently rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated Reception Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for early education who wants to play a vital role in supporting children during this important stage of their learning journey. What We’re Looking For: * Experience supporting children in Reception or Early Years settings. * Good knowledge of the EYFS framework. * A warm, patient, and proactive approach to working with young children. * Ability to adapt support for children with SEN, EAL, or additional needs. * Strong teamwork and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: * Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging Reception lessons. * Provide 1:1 and small group support, encouraging independence and confidence in learning. * Help children develop their early literacy, numeracy, and social skills. * Contribute to creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment. * Communicate effectively with teachers and parents to support children’s progress.
