Job Title: Locum Adult Audiologist – General ENT Services
Banding: Band 5/6
Location: South West England
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £23–£27 per hour (dependent on banding and experience)
Working Hours: 4 days per week, 08:00–18:00 (ideally with Tuesday as the day off)
Booking Period: Until 31st December 2025 (initial 3-month booking, with potential extension to 6 months)
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Band 5 or 6 Locum Adult Audiologist to join an audiology team in South West England. This role involves managing a general adult caseload and offers a consistent schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, with flexibility around the non-working day (preferably not Tuesday).
The post is initially booked for three months, with a strong possibility of extension to six months depending on service needs. The successful candidate will be a qualified audiologist with experience in adult ENT services and confident working independently within a busy clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Conduct audiological assessments and diagnostics for adult patients.
• Perform hearing aid fittings, reassessments, and repairs.
• Collaborate with ENT consultants and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Contribute to service development and MDT discussions as required.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must have:
• A BSc in Audiology or equivalent qualification.
• Registration with RCCP or HCPC.
• Experience in adult audiology services.
• Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
