Your Role

This will be a key leadership position within our London head office where you will define go-to-market strategy drive revenue growth and manage the day-to-day operations of our EMEA Sales team. This role will be instrumental in growing our customer base driving a significant share of revenue and supporting the expansion of the team and Global Relays presence in the UK/EMEA.

Global Relay is seeking an experienced individual to expand revenue within the EMEA market. The EMEA VP will lead manage coach and develop a team to drive the sales cycle end to end and close new business within enterprise and mid-market.

The role requires a high level of collaboration both externally with prospects to understand their business drivers and needs and internally with the product and customer facing teams to orchestrate complex deals.

The ideal candidate has prior experience building and managing a high performing sales team supporting team members to achieve their goals and implementing process and structure. Prior experience selling cloud and data governance services into Enterprise customers is a requirement. Understanding financial services and their respective technology needs is a strong asset.

As the lead of the Direct Sales team in London you will manage the day-to-day operations of the following groups: Account Executives Sales Development Representatives and Technical Presales. This will involve mentorship and guidance on deals and activities performance management conversations recruitment and tracking team KPIs which you will help to define.

Your Job

  • Consistently deliver revenue targets ensuring company revenue goals and objectives are achieved quarterly and annually.
  • Report directly to the Global Head of Sales Business Development with weekly/monthly/quarterly sales results.
  • Hire lead and manage the right team to match our growth expectations for the region
  • Team leadership: directly involved with account planning strategy and sales calls
  • Mentoring and guiding the professional and technical development of your team members
  • Work alongside London leadership and Marketing (CMO in London) to define and execute strategy across EMEA
  • Experience selling to C-level executives
  • Advocate on behalf of the sales team to the wider organisation including Legal Finance and Senior Management
  • Provide continuous feedback address under performance and recognize the individual strengths and contributions of your team members
  • Contribute to Global Relays progress by participating on a tactical and strategic level with key management globally to ensure the region is aligned with the established business objectives

About You

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience across SaaS sales management and business development roles.
  • Experience selling to Enterprise and mid-market organizations with multiple stakeholders during a complex sales cycle that could last several months.
  • Understanding of Banks Broker Dealers Hedge Funds Private Equity FinTech VC funds and their respective technology needs
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with the key decision-makers and C Suite (CIO/CTO/CCO/CFO) executives within prospect organizations
  • Track record of leading and growing successful sales teams
  • Willingness to travel to industry events and conferences
