Junior Linux Systems Administrator
Salary: Up to £35,000 + bonus and benefits
Quant Capital is urgently looking for a graduate Linux systems admin to join our high profile client.
Our client is a very well know retail trading business based in London, they are looking for junior Linux engineers/administrators to join the team of Linux and DevOps professionals.
This will be a fantastic opportunity to gain some serious financial experience and work with cutting edge Opensource technologies. We are looking for bright and enthusiastic candidates who want to focus their career on Linux systems and Development.
You will be part of a team ensuring my clients Linux infrastructure is supported across the world, you will be monitoring mission critical systems for bottle necks and ensuring optimal uptime and performance. In addition to this you will be involved in implementing new technologies and improving existing technologies to meet new business requirements.
As a Junior Linux Systems administrator MUST have:
- Degree in a quantitative subject
- Experience building and configuring Linux servers (RHEL, Centos, Fedora)
- Basic networks skills
- Some coding and scripting ability (PHP , Python, Ruby)
- Enthusiasm
- Good communicator
- An interest in Puppet / Chef
This role suits a recent grad with one or two years’ experience in a Linux environment, if you are passionate about opensource technology and want to get your career of the ground this is an idela opportunity. You will gain experience in a vast range of cutting edge technologies that will be at the forfront of the tech space for many years to come.
