A secondary school in Wandsworth is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join its Humanities Department. The role would suit someone who can combine strong historical knowledge with engaging lessons that encourage students to think critically about the past.

You will teach History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop a strong understanding of significant historical events while building their ability to analyse evidence and interpretations.

At KS3, you will deliver a broad curriculum covering a range of historical periods and developments. At KS4, you will prepare students for GCSE examinations, with a particular focus on source analysis, historical interpretations, extended writing and examination technique.

The successful teacher will be able to make History engaging through the effective use of primary sources, case studies, discussion and debate. You will also assess student work regularly and provide specific feedback to help pupils improve.
