Full Time Nanny - Newborn Focus

Children: Newborn daughter + two boys (7 and 10)
Location: Family home

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, calm and highly organised full-time nanny to take primary responsibility for our newborn daughter while supporting the smooth running of our children’s routines at home.

This is a professional, long-term role for someone who brings both warmth and structure.

Fluent French is essential. The nanny must speak French to the children at all times in order to maintain full language immersion.

Primary Responsibility: Newborn Care

(1) Feeding & Nutrition
Feeding on schedule (bottle or supporting breastfeeding)
Preparing and sterilising bottles and equipment
Burping, settling and monitoring intake
Supporting the establishment of healthy feeding patterns

(2) Sleep Management
Establishing and maintaining nap and bedtime routines
Implementing consistent soothing techniques
Supporting healthy sleep habits and managing regressions
Adhering to safe sleep guidelines at all times

(3) Health & Hygiene
Diapering and bathing
Maintaining strict hygiene standards
Monitoring feeds, sleep and nappies if requested
Reporting any health concerns immediately

(4) Development
Age-appropriate stimulation including tummy time, reading and singing
Monitoring developmental milestones
Encouraging sibling bonding and positive engagement
Attending suitable newborn activities where appropriate

(5) Nursery & Baby Environment
Full ownership of all baby-related spaces:
Maintaining a clean, sanitised and organised nursery, changing area and play spaces
Managing daily baby laundry
Monitoring and restocking supplies
Maintaining baby equipment and sterilisation systems

(6) Parent Support
Assisting in establishing a calm, structured routine within the home
Offering informed guidance while respecting parental preferences
Maintaining open, clear communication
Supporting maternal wellbeing where appropriate
Exercising complete discretion and confidentiality

(7) Support for Older Children
Preparing evening meals for the boys during the baby’s daytime sleep
Following the menu set by mother
Supporting a calm, positive household rhythm
Maintaining French language immersion at all times

Professional Expectations
Proven newborn experience (0–12 months essential)
Fluent French speaker
Proactive, organised and emotionally intelligent
Calm under pressure
DBS cleared with excellent references
Long-term mindset and respect for privacy
