We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and highly skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join the successful faculty at a well-regarded secondary academy in the affluent Richmond area of South West London.
This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026 .

- Teach Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 & 4 (KS3/KS4), with the ability to offer a specialism (e.g., Graphics, Resistant Materials, or Engineering) to Key Stage 5 (KS5).
- Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 available

The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective DT specialist dedicated to fostering creativity, practical skills, and design thinking in our students. To attract an exceptional candidate, this role includes a generous Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum . This financial incentive is a purely financial reward designed to support excellent teachers and their commitment to our school community.

We Are Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) .
- A proven track record as an excellent Design and Technology Teacher with experience teaching a specialism to at least Key Stage 4 (GCSE) .
- Proficiency with relevant workshop tools and/or CAD/CAM technology.
- A genuine passion for design, making, and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
- The drive to contribute positively to the academic life of the school.
Salary and Benefits
- Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers.
- The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Outer London Pay Scale (The Outer London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £37,870 as of September 2025).
- A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum.
