We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and highly skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join the successful faculty at a well-regarded secondary academy in the affluent Richmond area of South West London.
This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026 .

- Teach Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 & 4 (KS3/KS4), with the ability to offer a specialism (e.g., Graphics, Resistant Materials, or Engineering) to Key Stage 5 (KS5).
- Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 available

To attract an exceptional candidate, this role includes a generous Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum . This financial incentive is a purely financial reward designed to support excellent teachers and their commitment to our school community.

We Are Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) .
- A proven track record as an excellent Design and Technology Teacher with experience teaching a specialism to at least Key Stage 4 (GCSE) .
- Proficiency with relevant workshop tools and/or CAD/CAM technology.
- A genuine passion for design, making, and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
- The drive to contribute positively to the academic life of the school.
Salary and Benefits
- Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers.
- The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Outer London Pay Scale (The Outer London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £37,870 as of September 2025).
- A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum.
