Deputy Nursery Manager
The Role We are looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to work alongside our Nursery Manager as the nursery's second operational leader. You will support daily operations, safeguarding, staffing and EYFS quality, act as Deputy DSL, and take responsibility for the setting when formally deputising for the Nursery Manager. Key Responsibilities
- Support the safe and effective running of the nursery.
- Coordinate staffing, ratios and daily deployment.
- Support safeguarding as Deputy DSL.
- Lead and coach Room Leaders and practitioners.
- Monitor EYFS quality and room practice.
- Support staff supervision, performance and development.
- Promote SEND and inclusive practice.
- Build strong relationships with parents.
- Support Ofsted readiness and continuous improvement.
- Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required.
- Level 3+ relevant Early Years qualification.
- Strong early-years experience.
- Leadership experience at Room Leader level or above.
- Good EYFS and safeguarding knowledge.
- Confident people-management and communication skills.
- Deputy Manager experience.
- Deputy DSL/DSL training.
- Paediatric First Aid.
- SEND or Ofsted experience.
- £26,000 –£33,000 salary.
- 36 hours per week
