We are looking for a high-calibre Religious Education ECT for the Humanities faculty at an Outstanding all-through academy in Redbridge. This Full-Time, Permanent position starts in September 2026. We are seeking a practitioner who can lead students through complex philosophical and ethical inquiry. You will join a successful Trust of 7 academies, providing you with a wealth of expertise and support during your induction years.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging RE lessons that encourage critical thinking and respect for diverse worldviews

• Participate in the Trust-wide ECT Programme, benefiting from regular CPL and peer observation

• Foster a desire in students to explore the varied riches of philosophical and religious traditions

• Support the department in maintaining an outstanding quality of teaching and learning

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Religious Studies, Philosophy, or a related subject

• Attainment of QTS by September 2026

• High standards of professional presentation and punctuality

• Must have the right to work in the UK
