Our client are looking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join their construction team, specialising in HMO (House in Multiple Occupation) refurbishment and fit-out projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality finishes across all internal and external areas, maintaining professional standards and attention to detail throughout.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, and woodwork.

Carry out surface preparation such as filling, sanding, priming, and sealing.

Apply a range of decorative finishes including wallpapering, glossing, varnishing, and emulsion.

Work closely with site managers, plasterers, and other trades to maintain project timelines.

Ensure all work meets quality standards and client specifications.

Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised workspace.

Inspect and repair painted surfaces as needed to ensure a durable, professional finish.

Assist in estimating material quantities and planning workload efficiently.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator within the construction industry.

Experience working on HMO refurbishments or similar residential multi-occupancy properties.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Knowledge of modern materials, paints, and application techniques.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

CSCS card preferred.

Own tools and reliable transport desirable.
